Striper fishing is much better this week as stripers are chasing shad to the surface each morning and evening. Stripers are FAT after gorging on a bumper crop of shad. Lake Powell Fishing Report July 23, 2014 Lake Elevation: 3608 Water Temperature 77-85 F Photo: Jaxson Jones, Phoenix AZ, helped his dad manhandle this big striper caught trolling in Padre Bay. Stripers are boiling in the northern lake but trolling 20-25 feet deep works better on the south end. Big news began pouring in on July 25th. The fishing window if on the right spot is 5 a.m. till 8:30 a.m. with this heat we are having. It can be longer if a cloudy monsoon morning day.
