Lake Powell Fishing Report August 12, 2017

Lake Powell Elevation: 3633.56

Water temp 90’s

40 miles up Lake is the sweet spot for baite fishing drifting anchovies. With storm swim baits and fly fishing clausers.

Boils are scarce with full moons and evening fishing dusk till dark is best for this.  Water temps need to drop 15 degrees for longer top water action fishing baits.

My last 3 trips have been excellent. Here is photo (a bit fuzzy with glare from water) of Justin fly fishing Wednesday. We did very well. Look for top water to start popping.
