Lake Powell News & Fishing Report 7-4-2021

Happy Fourth of July to all our anglers !

The Good news is there are plenty of fish to be caught and enough water to find them as you can see from all the recent photos below.  The negative news is the General Media is posting Lake Powell is almost disappeared!. This is not so, but the dropping water has made for a great distance to and from some good fishing locations and our tip rates have all adjusted to the current conditions for the anglers to fish right up to the New Year!.

Ramp acces is being added to and if possible try to book a mid week date as well.  We currently are not doing weekends as it is so crowded on Lake Powell but weekdays we are.  If we are booked, we will refer to a Guide Service we recommend and know they are licensed and know they will give you a great trip.  Remember you can usually find some outlaws who will take you fishing and I know you will probably see many doing this.

Examples:

When the “law” checks for licensing and your guide has not their Coast Guard License Endoresement, Park Service Guides Permits and Coast Guard approved Boat and Equipment which all have to be currently registered.  If they do not have this, they have absolutely no liability insurance to protect the clients, their guests & family.  Do not let them tell  you anything without your asking for their proof of licensing that emcompasses all the above that being a copy of their CUA Permit (Commercial use Permit).  If they do not have it its your problem as to the liability to you and your guests.  This is no different than Auto Liability!!!

Ambassador Guides is proficient chasing fly & conventional pursuits as well as trolling, bait ccast, top water and season chumming whatever it takes to get “Hooked Up”.  Sharing the Chase the past few weeks.
