The moon phases play a big part normally to top water feeding times. There is a lot of activity due to colder runoff coming into Lake Powell as well and there is spawning stripers in the mix that are best trolled for.
Early morning hunt for surface fish until they do down from slurping micro shad schools. It’s a game, positioning the boat in time for anglers to cast spoons or swim baits to feeding fish then run on to another school and wait!.
You can count on morning action till about 11 a.m. or so but if it’s overcast the action can last a bit longer. Smallmouth are good off points and broken rock 10-20 feet. Anchovie fishing a hit and miss and NO DELIVERIES of anchovies to Page this year from Coastal Suppliers!
