Smallmouth bass are everywhere and in excellent condition. Early morning and cloudy days you have excellent top water action with largemouth bass and roaming striped bass, a.k.a. “stripers”, as well. New stripers are plentiful and in great condition. I am 90% sure we will see the size and scope of boils that we haven’t seen in a decade. I am convinced that some big fish, 20lb or more, will be caught accidently while fishing for other species in the early mornings or near sunset. If you’re on the water “night camping”, trolling 7-9″ rapalas or allen cole type plugs at inlet and canyon outlets to the Colorado, there is a good chance to catch some “lunkers” too.
We offer Flyfishing, Spin casting, trolling and bait fishing opportunities. Call now to book now to get your date locked in – 928-606-5829 OR get in touch using our contact form.
If you’re traveling by RV, we recommend Antelope Point Marina for its convenient location and excellent amenities. Their service has always been outstanding, and I’ll be launching from there again this season.
See you on Lake Powell!
